At first i thought im suddenly forgetting things.
Kudos to the new UNDO function!
the way to undo the shift key WAS in the general settings, (use legacy transform)
They should hav ask first 🙂
It is coming up to 2 years and I am still not used to new shortcuts despite using ps everyday… adobe is fucking up everything. It was working fine and beautifully before they went ahead and screwed it.
Please anyone help me.
In earlier versions, for example after we go back 3 steps, simply I can come to the current state by 'cmd Z'. Then I can click cmd z multiple times to view the difference between current state and 3 steps before. But in 'cc2019', I have to open the history pallet to view the difference between current state and 3 steps before. Can anyone guide me how to get this option without opening the history pallet. please understand me. Please don't advise me how to change the keyboard shortcuts in 2019 version. I already did that.
Thanks you!…Very helpful!
I like the idea of Free Transform being constrained by default and shift turning off that feature. I just needs to be the same across the board otherwise new and old users are both going to be confused.
Auto-commit will be great as long as you can undo back to the same state it was before the commitment. For example you are adjusting a crop around a subjects eye and make a mistake. If you have to start from the beginning it would be annoying but if it brings you back to just before the commitment it would be fine because you aren't loosing as much time as you are gaining without having to manually commit every time.
Hide reference point is a good improvement, especially for new users.
Undo Redo is great the new way too.
Lock workspace may be good for smaller screens and designing on the move.
Start/Home may be good if you need to quickly open a previous file when already having a file open.
Live blend modes is the best feature, hands down.
Calculations in text fields is nice.
I'm getting so frustrated with the new updates and shortcuts, that i've been screaming at my computer like a maniac. this tutorial surely helped to ease my headaches (just a tiny bit)

Thanks for your video man! Loved all the info. For someone who has been using PS since day one, the new free transform functionality was making me want to throw my computer out of the window! Anyway, I found a way to fix it! Here's another YouTube that explains exactly how to fix this annoying problem and put it back to how it's always been. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqAfIy9Jlac
I haven't used ps for 2 years, and now i'm back to design, and i'm really pissed cause of these new shortcuts, wtf
This new photoshop make most old users headache
Tbh I preferred Ctrl+alt+z
Where is my installed Nik Collection on CC2019?
That was the first gotcha in this version. Still prefer the old way of scaling.
Here is how to disable the new transform bs https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2550499
3:47 Finally.
Hello Martin! It's so nice to see you again 🙂 I miss your tutorials on psdtutsplus and now after almost 4 years I unexpectedly find your channel! You made my day man. Chears 🙂
nice
I used to do the same thing with Live Blend Mode by clicking the blend name and just scrolling my mouse wheel. It is a tiny bit more useful by having the blend mode drop down open I guess. That is more functionality and welcome.
I like the 'click away' commit changes because that is how I use Illustrator. Especially useful with text tool in Photoshop in my opinion. Now if they can get rid of the text highlight while making changes. Its annoying and choosing colors is tedious.
They keep dumbing down the software. I used to hate having to hold shift for multiple Undos.. now I realize that its necessary so I can toggle my last change to see if I want to keep it. I used to hate having to hit shift for constrain proportions- now I have a muscle memory that refuses to be untrained. Why do veteran Photoshop users have to pay the price for newbs? lol. I'm off to change my keyboard shortcuts.
